Checking a company in Malta
Is an account required to search BAROS?
Yes. Since 1 August 2025, MBR requires authenticated access, but registration itself is free.
Is BAROS automatically connected to VerifyBeforeBuy?
Not yet. VIES and global checks run automatically; use BAROS as the official manual verification.
Coverage limitation
Since August 2025, BAROS search requires user authentication through a Malta Government account, e-ID, eIDAS or Non-EU Login; registration is free. Automated access is not active yet.
