Partial coverage

Check a Danish company – current coverage

For Denmark, we validate EU VAT numbers through VIES and assess all available technical, contact, payment and document signals.

Your input stays in this browser until the private check form opens.

Official source

VIES; CVR system-to-system not yet connected

Accepted identifiers

  • Danish VAT number (CVR/VAT)
  • Name, address, website and contacts

Checks performed

What the result can verify

  • EU VAT validity through VIES
  • Domain, contacts, account and payment method
  • Consistency across the offer, documents and messages

Country-specific risks

Signals worth checking

  • A real CVR or VAT number appears on a domain unrelated to the registered business
  • The invoice and website show different Danish company names or addresses
  • The seller refuses card payment and insists on an irreversible transfer

Before payment

Practical next steps

  1. Submit the VAT/CVR number with the website and invoice
  2. Compare the VIES identity with the seller's legal notice and payment recipient
  3. Choose card or another protected method when evidence is incomplete

Questions and answers

Checking a company in Denmark

Does VerifyBeforeBuy check the Danish CVR directly?

Not automatically yet. Approved system-to-system access is required, so CVR is not reported as a performed national-registry check.

Is a CVR number alone enough before paying?

No. A genuine identifier can be copied; the website, contacts, invoice and payment recipient must also belong together.

Coverage limitation

Automated CVR checks require approved system-to-system access from the Danish Business Authority and are not active yet. The result therefore reports partial coverage.
