Partial coverage

Check a Croatian company – current coverage

For Croatian entities, we validate EU VAT numbers through VIES and look for conflicts across OIB, company identity, documents and bank account.

Your input stays in this browser until the private check form opens.

Accepted identifiers

  • OIB
  • Court register number (MBS)
  • Name, address, website and IBAN

What the result can verify

  • EU VAT validity through VIES
  • Domain, contacts, documents and payment details
  • Consistency of OIB and name across the offer and invoice

Country-specific risks

Signals worth checking

  • The OIB belongs to a different company than the website claims
  • The MBS or address differs between invoice and contract
  • Payment is requested to a personal or unrelated account

Before payment

Practical next steps

  1. Submit the OIB or MBS together with the URL, invoice and IBAN
  2. Compare the VIES result with the name and address
  3. If details conflict, request a current extract and avoid bank transfer

Questions and answers

Checking a company in Croatia

Does VerifyBeforeBuy automatically check Sudski registar?

Not yet. Public search exists, but without a confirmed stable production API it is not reported as an automated check.

Which Croatian identifier should I use?

OIB is the key tax identifier; for companies, the MBS court-register number also helps.

Coverage limitation

The ministry provides public Sudski registar search, but we have not confirmed a stable official production API for individual automated checks. Coverage therefore remains partial.
