  • Name, address, website and contacts

Checks performed

What the result can verify

  • EU VAT validity through VIES
  • Domain, contacts, account and payment method
  • Consistency across the offer, documents and messages

Country-specific risks

Signals worth checking

  • The Belgian VAT number is valid but the seller name differs from the invoice
  • Dutch and French versions of the legal details identify different entities
  • Payment is redirected to a private or unrelated account

Before payment

Practical next steps

  1. Submit the VAT number, website, invoice and IBAN together
  2. Compare names and addresses across both language versions of the seller details
  3. Pause payment when any identity or account mismatch remains

Questions and answers

Checking a company in Belgium

Is the Belgian CBE/KBO checked automatically?

Not yet. The integration requires registered data access, so the result clearly limits the performed registry check to VIES.

Why should both Dutch and French legal details be compared?

Belgian sellers may publish either language version. Both should still identify the same legal entity, address and VAT number.

Coverage limitation

Automated CBE/KBO access requires registration and a data integration that is not active yet. The result therefore reports partial coverage.
